Grahamstown to Cape town, via Sutherland and Tankwa!

A trip to Cape town, for a 50 th bithday.  Getting old!  Via Somerset East, Beaufort West, Merweville, Sutherland, Middelpos, Tankwa, Cerres, Somerset West, Barrydale, Oudtshoorn, Willowmore, Steytlerville, Kirkwood, Paterson and home! About 2100km.

Local trip, to Katberg and Hogsback, testing small bikes!!!

On a lovely Saturday morning, we left Grahamstown, on small bikes - to test if we could do a LOOOONNNGGG trip on little 200 cc Honda CTX.
Well, into the mountains, through Mpofu Game Reserve - brought back tons of memories, from long ago hunting days - past Post Retief, up the pass to the top of Katberg, down the now very bad Katberg Pass, through Whitelsee - Spelling??  and up Mitchelspass to the top of Hogsback, then to our friends Rory and Lisa, where we spent the night.
About 200 km.  Not easy on t5he butt on these little bikes, so will still be looking at other options!!!

Sunday home again, via Fort Beaufort, and Amy, grandkids etc!!
