Well we have finished at the ski resort and will head back to Verona to have the bikes serviced and my bike repaired. They have the parts and that should be finished by Wednesday next week. So a slow drive down and a few days camping and the bikes are booked in for Monday morning. We would then like to get to Switzerland to see Marius and then onto Holland to see Anna before she leaves for South America. And then we will head direct to Sweden and it won’t be long and we will be heading home.
Larry really enjoyed the skiing, and managed very well, did some of the red slopes. The resort is very big, with lots of different ski slopes catering to all different level of skiers. It is amazing to see tiny little kids skiing down the black slopes!! I decided to not ski, my wrist has still been sore and don’t want have further damage. The area is really pretty and there is still lots of snow around and on one of the days it snowed heavily while Larry was skiing.
We are still looking at different options to get home, the first prize would be to airfreight the bikes to Nairobi and then ride from there. Anyone able to help with information with airfreighting please let us know. We have also considered riding all the way home but don’t really want to battle the heat and ferries going through Egypt and Sudan. Also Ethiopia doesn’t appeal with all the stone throwing!
